Hosting a caravanning vehicle (caravan, motorhome, etc.) for rent comes with certain responsibilities. Here are some safety tips to help you along the way.
Interact intelligently
Always make payments, collections and communications with Travelers through Caraving. Use our internal messaging system to meet your Travelers and share expectations about the trip or your caravanning vehicle.
Read the profiles and reviews/ratings of your potential Travelers, look for verified phone numbers and emails. If your potential Travelers do not have verifications on their profile, you can ask them to complete some of them before Pre-accepting the request (Option valid only for ads with the Reservation Request option).
Trust your intuition: If you don't feel comfortable with a reservation request, don't accept it.
You set your rules
Completing your Caravan Vehicle Rules (caravan, motorhome, etc.) helps Travelers know what to expect. Include anything you want people to know before booking, such as whether smoking is allowed (or where), whether there are prohibitions on using any amenities (indoor kitchen, shower, toilet, etc.), or whether Travelers must remove their masks. shoes before entering.
Set requirements for your listing
You may require Travelers to complete certain verifications before booking, such as verifying their identity.
Adding a Bond (security deposit) to your listing can also help protect you in case of damage, such as spilling wine on the sofa.
Remember: In an emergency situation, or if your personal safety is threatened, immediately contact the police or emergency services before contacting our customer service.
