Cancellation and Refund Policy?

From time to time, Travelers may need to change their plans and cancel a confirmed Reservation. Caraving understands that such situations are sometimes unavoidable. However, cancellations may cause inconvenience and potential financial loss to Hosts, as it becomes increasingly difficult for them to rebook the affected Accommodation as the check-in date approaches.

Caraving has developed this Cancellation and Refund Policy to provide flexibility for Travelers while ensuring security and reliability for Hosts, seeking to maintain a fair balance between both parties.

  • Refunds to the Traveler will be processed using the same payment method originally used to make the Reservation, unless Caraving expressly authorizes an alternative refund method.

    Depending on the Cancellation Policy selected by the Host and the notice period provided by the Traveler before the scheduled check-in date, the Traveler may receive a full, partial, or no refund, as outlined in the table below:

Penalties

When a Host cancels a Reservation 30 days or more prior to the scheduled start date, a penalty of € 100 will apply. If the cancellation occurs less than 30 days before the start date, a penalty of € 150 will apply.

Cancellations by hosts

Caraving’s Cancellation Policies are designed to ensure a balance between the rights of Travelers and Hosts, fostering trust and maintaining the integrity of the Caraving Platform. If a Host cancels a Reservation before the check-in time stated in the Listing, the Traveler will receive a full refund (100%). If the Host cancels after the check-in time, the Host will receive payment only for the days actually used by the Traveler, excluding the Host Commission, and the Traveler will receive a pro-rata refund for the unused nights.

Caraving may modify this Cancellation and Refund Policy at any time, in accordance with the provisions set forth in the General Terms and Conditions of Use of the Platform.

Any modification will be communicated through a visible notice on the Caraving Platform.

New rates and/or penalties will apply only to new Reservation Requests and/or Booking Inquiries made by Travelers after the effective date of the updated Policy.
